- Etihad Rail first launched in late June, with trains going from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah, an emirate on the country’s east coast.
- The rail network will then be extended further on 30 December, when Al Dhafra, another stop in Abu Dhabi, will open, while Sharjah train station will begin welcoming passengers from 30 March next year.
